In order for the fonts used in your originating application to be correctly viewed and printed when you send your PDF to somebody else, you will have to 'embed' the fonts used unless you can be sure that the recipient has the exact same fonts themselves. This document discusses some of the methods and legal issues involved. [more]

You might well assume that once you have created your PDF with all of the fonts correctly embedded, that Acrobat will then display your document as you anticipated. This is not always the case. There are a few hidden options within the application itself, which will affect the way your PDF is displayed on screen.
